Not that it’s a surprise, but the Avs finally inked first-round picks Gabriel Landeskog and Duncan Siemens to entry-level deals today. Landeskog, assuming he makes the team, will have a $3.575 cap hit, with a signing bonus and other potential bonuses that would count against the cap. Landeskog will make the team, it’s a deadbolt cinch. Heck, the Avs need him to make the team just for the cap hit, to get to the floor.

Siemens? Don’t know the bonus situation as well as Landeskog, but it’s a safe bet his cap hit would be in the $2-3 million range should he make the team. Right now, the numbers are stacked against him making the team (don’t forget, he’s only 17), but let’s wait to see what training camp brings. You never know – maybe the kid is all world? Maybe injuries happen in droves?

Landeskog: $925k base salary+$850k signing bonus+$1.8M potential bonuses
